Sara Carson & the Super Collies

 

Sara Carson of Ontario Canada began her career at fifteen years old successfully running her own dog training facility for five years in her hometown of North Bay. During that time Sara expanded her knowledge teaching obedience, puppy foundations, tricks, and agility to the students who attended classes at her facility. 

 

Sara is well known as one of the top international trick dog trainers in North America today. She has been nationally recognized for showcasing her achievements such as the CW Dog Honors 'top trick' award in 2020, The Great Mats 'Dog Trainer of the Year' in 2017. Her dogs have earned a multitude of working and sport titles such as agility, dock diving, barn hunt and tricks.  She has also placed across the board in disc dog competitions and taught the art form of canine freestyle dance.

 

Sara and her Super Collie Hero had their first televised appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman blowing bubbles and continue to captivate audiences all over the world on the silver screen. She acquired her celebrity dog trainer status after placing fifth on the season twelve finale of America's Got Talent in 2017. Since then Sara and Hero have filmed 'A Genie's Tale' where Hero played Joe the main protagonist. Sara has also made an appearance as a judge on 'Puppy Bowl- The Summer Games' as well as additional titles into the 2021 Discovery+ series.  

 

Currently, she is living in Kentucky, USA. Her plans are to continue her adventures around the globe with her dogs, performing and teaching tricks to dog owners and their pups. Sara wrote an instructional book in 2022 called Super Dog Tricks on a shelf near you! She also runs the most functional and user friendly dog app on the market PUPPR (available on Android or IOS).

The Canine Stars 

 

The Canine Stars Stunt Dog Show is an exciting extreme sports production for family entertainment – highlighting popular dog sports such as dock diving, freestyle frisbee disc, flyball racing, high jumping, and dog agility with multiple breeds of dogs and mixes who have been rescued or adopted from shelters.

Keri Caraher and Ethan Wilhelm began competing in dog sports with their personal pet dogs in 2001 in Colorado. They competed across North America at the highest levels in Agility, Flyball racing, Disc Dog, and Dock Diving, including earning top placements at National and World Champion events. In 2005 they began performing professionally with their dogs at Theme Parks, Fairs, Pet Expos and Zoos, including tours across Canada and the Virgin Islands.

In January 2012, The Canine Stars team was created to bring our amazing rescued dogs to even larger audiences, while emphasizing and encouraging pet adoption and promoting a strong interactive bond with man’s best friend.

They are a bird club and a registered 501(c)3 rescue dedicated to education about companion bird care, health and welfare. Saginaw Valley Police Canine Association

 

The Saginaw Valley Police Canine Association is pleased to present police K9 demonstrations at the Novi Pet Expo this year! Watch as narcotics and arson detection K9's show off their extensive training. The demonstrations will consist of narcotics and accelerants odor detection, article searches, handler protection, and criminal apprehension. Attendees will hear about the time and resources it takes for K9 units to keep up with their training. They will also have the opportunity to ask questions and even meet a police K9.

 

Founded in 2012, the Saginaw Valley Police Canine Association is a 501c3 organization that provides funding and resources for active and retired police K9 units. The SVPCA has assisted K9 programs from the Saginaw Police Department, Arenac County Sheriff's Department, Ogemaw County Sheriff's Department, Bay City Department of Public Safety, and more.

Commander Kevin MacRitchie has served as a Mounted Law Enforcement Officer in Michigan since 2009, having also served as a deputy with Oakland County and Commander with Cheboygan County. Kevin also Co-Commands the Michigan Multi-Jurisdictional Mounted Division when the unit is mounted serving at events such as Michigan Horse Expo and the United States Presidential Inauguration every four years with the unit.  Kevin also serves regularly during Police Week in Washington DC honoring the fallen officers of the previous year.  Kevin and his wife Kimba also operate their own Buffalo and Horse Ranch in Michigan, and both serve as Core Riders on the annual Custer State Park Buffalo Roundup in South Dakota.  Additionally, Kevin both serves as the liaison officer for all mounted law enforcement to the Michigan Horse Council and serves as the Honorary Commander at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota.  Kevin and Kimba ride, train, and teach all over the United States.

Junior Deputy Seth MacRitchie has served as a sworn Mounted Law Enforcement Officer in Michigan since January 2021 serving in all aspects of mounted duties including routine patrols, search and rescue, traffic management, VIP security, and more. Seth also served as a part of the virtual Presidential Inauguration in 2021.  Seth has been training with both Cheboygan and Clare County departments since 2018.  Seth is also a member of Oakland County’s Young Riders equestrian 4H club, currently serving as the club Vice President, and attends the annual 4H Horse Camp in Oakland County.  Seth has participated in catching and training both his once wild Mustangs - Spook (caught when he was 3 years old) and Jericho (caught when he was 8 weeks old).  Seth rides and trains all over the United States with his horses and family.

Junior Deputy Nathailya Frias has served as a sworn Mounted Law Enforcement Officer in Michigan since January 2021 serving in all aspects of mounted duties including routine patrols, search and rescue, traffic management, VIP security, and more.  Nathailya has been training with Clare County since 2018.  Nathailya is also a member of Oakland County’s Young Riders equestrian 4H club and a participant in the annual 4H Horse Camp in Oakland County.  Nathailya has participated in catching and training both her once wild Mustangs - Augustus (caught when he was 4 years old) and Ojos (caught when he was 8 months old).  Nathailya “Gentled” Ojos by herself enabling smooth loading or “walk-on” to the trailer allowing easy travel to the vets’ office prior to traveling from South Dakota to Michigan.  Ojos is at Pet Expo for the second year.  Nathailya rides and trains all over the United States with her horses and family.

Caitlyn has been a member of Oakland County’s 4H equestrian program since 2016 as a member of the Young Riders 4H Club, currently serving as the clubs President, and currently serving as the Secretary for Oakland County’s 4H Horse Council.  Caitlyn has participated in Oakland County’s annual Horse Camp each year since joining 4H.  Caitlyn has earned 4 high school letters as a member of the Milford High School Equestrian Team, supporting their successful 4-year standings at state finals, and earning herself enough points each year to qualify for four high-school letters throughout her high school career.  Caitlyn trained her first horse, a mustang – Newt - caught in South Dakota at age 3, and enhanced the performance of her second horse, a quarter horse – Silver – to become her speed horse.  Caitlyn also served as a sworn Junior Deputy for one year with Clare County Sheriff Department, however, turned her interests to the High School Equestrian Team, because of demanding time commitments for both, supporting her team reaching the state finals each of her 4 years on the team.

Tina's Pony Rides

 

They offer pony rides as well as a petting farm for the kiddos to interact with farm animals! 

This business was started in 2000 with just five ponies and Tina had a dream to grow!  They currently have twenty-five ponies as well as a great variety of petting zoo animals.  The business and farm is run by my Tina Dutton and her husband as well as her two teenage kids.  They spend a lot of time with their animals.  We know their temperaments very well, and understand which animals work best under most conditions.   

 

The quality service that they offer with Tina's Party Ponies shines through at the expo!

We always have interest in viewing proposals from pet-centric entertainers, clinicians and speakers with wisdom or family friendly fun to share! We are also open to suggestion regarding topics and content, too.  Please see desired information below before submitting your proposal or ideas.

 

 

We ask that you E-Mail the following information for consideration:

  • Title of topic(s) to be presented (we prefer a list from which to select topics,  if more than one is offered)
